A Portland classic, Multnomah Whiskey Library is a cozy Rose City hideaway where skilled bartenders prepare Old Fashioneds and Vieux Carrés tableside atop mid-century bar carts while others climb brass library ladders to take stock of the 1,800+ bottles lining the rustic brick back wall. And if you can’t help but overindulge, don’t worry, they also offer a full dinner menu. Their Pacific NW oysters are excellent!

Swine Moonshine and Whiskey Bar claims to explore the history of the American whiskey tradition, and we can’t disagree. They feature an extensive whiskey list, and specialty cocktails crafted with house-made infusions and syrups. The sangria is also fantastic. Give the fried chicken sliders a try – the sauce has a bite to it and the house pickles are delicious.

Love beer? Beer O’Clock has an impressive variety of beers on tap from all over the US, and different size pours so you can sample anything that catches your eye. The staff is super knowledgeable and the ambience is relaxed — perfect for after work. While they don’t serve food, you can order from Lardo and Grassa – both have very tasty menus.
