Five Pearl Happy Hour Spots within 5 Minutes of CENTRL Office

One of the most frequently asked questions our front desk staff receives after a long day of meetings is usually “where’s the best happy hour within walking distance?” Luckily there is not a shortage of high end restaurants, craft cocktails, sports bars and discounted bites just a few steps away from CENTRL Pearl. We would love to hear your favorites, here are a few that we recommend:

Oven & Shaker

What makes it great: What sets Oven and Shaker apart from the rest of the places on this list is that happy hour is more like happy afternoon, as discounted drinks and pizzas last from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. The start time of 2:30pm also allows people to pop in for a late lunch. The rotating draft beer is only $3 and craft cocktails range from $7-$8. The vibe is great when the weather is nice because they offer outdoor seating and a large wall of windows that opens up to NW Everett Street.

Try this: Nostrana Salad ($6), Spicy Salami Pizza with tomato, provolone, mozzarella and honey ($11) and House made gelato ($4).

Location: 1134 NW Everett St, Portland, OR 97209

What makes it great: This European style tavern offers vegetarian and meat-centered small plates for $3-$8, allowing guests to get everything from grilled asparagus to chicken wings. The craft cocktails are very unique and priced at only $6. Also a long one, as Clyde offers happy hour Monday through Sunday from 3pm to 6pm. Perhaps take advantage of their small plates and drinks before heading to Tasty and Alder for dinner around the corner.

Watch your server make the guacamole at your table so you know everything is as fresh as can be during your visit.

Try this: Chips and Salsa ($4) and Papas Bravas ($6) as starters for Tacos de Pescado ($8) and of course a marionberry margarita ($5).
