CENTRL Neighborhood Spotlight: Downtown Lake Oswego

At CENTRL Office, we know that what makes a great workspace is more than just the physical office where you get your work done. It’s also important that it be a short walk to the small things that make going to the office fun, like having great options for coffee, lunch, after-work gatherings, and even exercise.

Thankfully, there is no shortage of amazing local businesses to support in downtown Lake Oswego. Located around the corner from Rossman Park, our members enjoy access to world-class offices, steps away from a vibrant array of locally-owned coffee and breakfast spots, bars and restaurants, and boutiques, along with all of the running trails and biking paths. It is an ideal location for those seeking a better work-life balance.

During this challenging public health crisis, coming together is also more important than ever. That’s why CENTRL is committed to supporting and promoting our neighbors and fellow entrepreneurs in Lake Oswego, so that they, too, can do their best work.

With this in mind, here’s a partial list of a few of our neighbors we think you’ll like and hope you’ll support. Just remember to bring your mask! We’ll also be giving shout-outs to more of our neighbors in future posts.

Coffee & Breakfast

Kyra’s Bakeshop

www.kyrasbakeshop.com
599 A Avenue, Lake Oswego, OR 97034
Cinnamon rolls & maple-bacon doughnuts? Yes, please!. For an amazing gluten-free bakery and lunch spot, you can’t go wrong with Kyra’s Bakeshop. Just be warned if you go in for a sandwich you might leave with a cupcake — or three.

Nola Doughnuts

www.noladoughnuts.com
365 N State Street, Lake Oswego, OR 97034
In the mood for authentic New Orleans beignets with dipping sauces (mocha raspberry, honey vanilla, and blackberry)? Then Nola Doughnuts is your place. Their dough is made from scratch, using a layering technique commonly associated with croissants. In our humble opinion, this is easily the best doughnut shop in Portland.

Lunch & Midday

Lola’s Cafe Bar

(opening soon)
525 3rd St, Lake Oswego, OR 97034
Meet our new neighbor! Lola’s Cafe Bar is a new addition to the lower level of the Beacon Lake Oswego building and will feature a covered front deck patio. This is where our CENTRL members will soon be able to conveniently grab a coffee, beer, smoothie, breakfast, or lunch.

Holy Taco

www.holytacopdx.com
345 1st Street, Lake Oswego, OR 97034
For a bustling, stylish spot with a patio that offers elevated tacos and other Mexican eats (plus original cocktails), Holy Taco is a great choice. They are a family-owned and operated Oswego staple that we encourage you to check out.

After Work

Duke’s Public House

www.dukesph.com
506 A Ave, Lake Oswego, OR 97034
When the day’s over and you’re ready to unwind, stop by Duke’s Public House. Duke’s is a casual sports bar where you can play almost any bar game imaginable (corn hole, life-size Jenga, etc…). We also love their heated, covered patio with a fire pit.

Domaine Serene

www.domaineserenewineloungelo.com
300 1st St, Lake Oswego, OR 97034
One of the true gems of the Lake Oswego dining scene, Domaine Serene is the go-to spot for a casually elegant wining and dining experience. The fare is superb (the steak tartare and foie torchon are among our favorites) and they offer some of the best wines in Oregon.
