Dinner & Drink Recommendations – Downtown Sacramento

Here in lovely Downtown Sacramento, we believe a great work environment should be about more than just the physical office. It’s also about setting aside some time to explore new neighborhoods and hang out with your colleagues.

Fortunately, we’ve got a ton of fantastic eateries nearby where you and your coworkers can socialize while supporting a locally owned business. With so many options, we know that deciding where to grab dinner or a drink can sometimes feel overwhelming. To help you out, here are few close-by spots we think you’ll love.

Our neighbors! Located inside our J Street building, this new restaurant has a relaxed ambience, amazing staff, and eclectic hand crafted cocktails (we especially like the White Canary and Corpse Reviver #2). As for the menu, you can’t go wrong. The Smoked Australian Wagyu Brisket, the Pan Seared Steelhead Trout, and the Mary’s Airline Chicken Breast are among our faves.

Located conveniently across from the Expo Center ticket office, this cavernous bar offers wall-to-wall wide screens, but keep in mind you’ll miss the game as you focus on their exceptional barbecue. The food is always great and the service is even better. Their ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and jalapeno sausages are all top notch.

Mikuni

We cannot get enough of Mikuni’s (at any location). They never waiver from quality and freshness. Our go to is a bento box with sesame chicken and blanched asparagus with spicy zigzag sauce. Their spicy edamame is always delicious and so are the California rolls. Their happy hour features an array of sushi and appetizer specials, along with refreshing beverages.

Kodaiko
