Meet the Team: Gia Jayhan, General Manager at Marina Del Rey

Meet Gia Jayhan, General Manager of our newest location in Marina Del Rey. Gia brings energy, warmth, and a genuine love of community to the role. She’s the kind of person who will remember your name and probably your dog’s name too. We couldn’t have asked for a better GM to lead the charge on the Westside. Get to know Gia a little better below.

What’s a small thing that instantly makes your day better?
Coffee or a chocolate chip cookie. Better if they come together. Doesn’t matter what I’m dealing with, a cup of coffee or cookie has never let me down and it always makes me smile. I know I can deal with anything if I have a little caffeine or sugar. It instantly turns me into Super Gia.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
A walk around the block with my Golden Retrievers Cruz and Woody or grabbing whatever book I am currently reading and getting lost in a fantasy world or scifi realm.

What’s one thing members might be surprised to learn about you?
I have alopecia, hence the wig changes. Anytime I switch wigs a lot of people think I am just dying my hair all the time.

What’s your current hyperfixation?
Running, not running fast but just running in general. I started signing up for various races this year. I even became a Golden State Run Series ambassador. This year I have completed 3 races with 1 more to go. Next year I hope to complete 6 races and eventually train to run the LA Marathon in 2028.

What’s your “hear me out” food combination?
Nothing too crazy but I’m a huge fan of dipping french fries in ice cream (non-dairy in my case). Salty french fries in chocolate or vanilla ice cream is sneaky good. I’m also a huge fan of broccoli and/or asparagus on pizza.

If you could have one celebrity as your coworker, who would it be?
Jeff Goldblum. 1. I love him. 2. I love how he dresses. 3. I love how he talks. 4. I just feel like I would never be bored with him around.

What’s something you’re proud of accomplishing this year?
I completed my first half marathon! I caught the run bug earlier this year and have been chasing medals ever since.

Coffee Order?
I have multiple depending on my level of need. But safe choices, (Nitro) Cold Brew, Iced Espresso, Classic Drip. At home I make a Faux-Latte. Drip with 1-2 ounces of frothed alternative milk. Now that I’m typing this out I feel like I’m difficult, haha.

Morning person or night owl?
Morning Person! The early bird catches the worm and all that. I usually start my day at 5am, Sunrisers Club!

Dream travel destination?
So many! Right now Europe (anywhere and everywhere) it’s on the top of my list. I’d love to recreate my mom’s first time in Europe and do a Mother Daughter trip.

Favorite workday ritual?
End of Week inbox clean up. Archiving any emails or placing them in their correct folders. Makes me feel like I’m decluttering the workspace and I can head into the weekend knowing my Monday inbox won’t be insane.

Sweet or Savory?
Sweet! Cookies are my go to dessert.
