Hood River Waterfront Lunch Recommendations

Local Lunch Recommendations – Hood River Waterfront

At CENTRL, we know there’s more to work than just showing up to the office. That’s why we choose locations that are in vibrant, walkable (and bikeable) neighborhoods where a thriving and inspiring entrepreneurial spirit can be felt while simply strolling down the street.

Lucky for us, many of these entrepreneurs not only feed new ideas, they feed people, too. As a result, this is a neighborhood teeming with amazing locally owned lunch spots, many of them steps away from our Eastside location. With so many options, though, we know that deciding where to grab a bite can sometimes feel overwhelming.

With this in mind, here’s a short list of our favorite lunch spots. Of course, we’re only scratching the surface here, but you can’t go wrong with any of these locally owned Hood River eateries.

River Daze Cafe

202 D Cascade Ave, Hood River, OR 97031
The creation of a pastry chef and a farmer, River Daze Cafe offers quality, hand-crafted food using natural and organic ingredients. Most of the items on their menu are prepared in house, including all of their breads. They also have plenty of gluten free and Vegan options, along with a wide variety of kombuchas (bottled and on tap). We highly recommend trying the Spicy Tempeh Sandwich with a House Made Pretzel Plate on the side.

Solstice Wood Fire Cafe & Bar

solsticewoodfirecafe.com
501 Portway Ave, Hood River, OR 97031
Located across from the Hood River Waterfront Park, Solstice offers fresh, local, seasonal, and organic food skillfully prepared by hand at affordable prices. Featuring an imported Italian wood fire oven, they specialize in hearty rustic pizzas, seasonal entrees, and fresh pasta that’s made in-house. They also offer culinary-inspired cocktails, 11 rotating local microbrews, ciders, and house wine on tap. We love their pear and goat cheese pizza!

Basik Café

basikacai.com
112A Oak St, Hood River, OR 97031
In the mood for a healthy, refreshing, and delicious acai bowl? Basik Café specializes in plant-based, dairy-free, superfood meals. They have multiple choices for smoothie bowls which can all be made vegan if you just request no honey. We recommend the Banyan, featuring peanut butter, almond milk, bee pollen, granola, crushed almonds, and hemp hearts.

CENTRL Loves Local Businesses

Beyond our workspace, what makes our location special is our neighbors — local businesses like us — who form the backbone of our community. That’s why we encourage you to support our neighbors here in Hood River. And whether you are looking for the perfect slice of pizza, taco, or a spot to grab a beer after work, always feel free to ask our staff for a recommendation. We’re here to help!
