Member Spotlight: Q&A with Sarah VerStrat

We caught up with CENTRL Pearl Member Sarah VerStrat of VIA Productions. VIA has been a member at our Pearl District Location for over two years now, starting at a dedicated desk and moving into a four person office.

Q: What is your great, good work? (What do you do?)

I work for a company called VIA Productions. We do commercial and feature production work for local and national brands. We’re a Memphis, TN based company, but we have our remote office here in Portland. I work primarily with our clients. I make sure their needs and expectations are being met, while also pursuing new business opportunities.

Q: What is your favorite part of your work?

My favorite part of work would be helping people. I’m not solving world hunger or anything, but the pain points I help to alleviate for my clients does make a difference to them, and that’s my goal. If I can make someone’s day better, or easier then it’s a good day for me. I also enjoy some of the travel I get to do. I’ve visited cities and met with people whom I would have never had the opportunity to if it wasn’t for my job, and for that, I am grateful.

Q: Where are you going from here?

As far as the future goes, who knows! I’m still figuring myself out and learning what I like and dislike on a daily basis. What I see myself doing today, could be totally different next week. Opportunity is a major driving factor when it comes to our futures. If you have the opportunity to try something new and different, whether it be a restaurant or a career change, take it! You’ll end up exactly where you’re supposed to be!
