Portland Start-Up Week at CENTRL Office 2017
It’s that time of the year again to celebrate start-ups and entrepreneurs in our community! To do so, CENTRL has a full calendar of events lined up. Portland Start-Up Week is February 4th through 11th and both CENTRL Office locations will be partnering with organizations like TiE Oregon, Portland Incubator Experiment, Workfrom, Scopic, Techstars, Karvel Digital and more to host office hours, panel discussions, lunches and meet-ups. In addition to all of these events, CENTRL Eastside will be offering free co-working all week. CENTRL Pearl will be offering free co-working on Tuesday and Wednesday (2/7 and 2/8). If you can only choose a few things to attend, here’s what we recommend:
Monday, February 6th – PIE Community Hours
CENTRL Pearl – 5pm to 7pm
What better time to get the startup community together? That’s why Built Oregon, PIE, and Silicon Florist are using Startup Week as an opportunity to kick off a new year of Community Hour[s]. We’ll also be joined this month by our friends Cascade Angels. There is no agenda, panel, or discussion. It’s a time to relax and network with old friends and make new connections with your peers and across industries. As much as we all love technology, we realize that community relationships are built through personal connections and shared stories. So we hope you’ll join us for a few minutes — or a couple of hours.
Tuesday, February 7th – Power-Up Lunch w/ Women Skillshare
CENTRL Eastside – 11:30am to 1:30pm
The Portland Startup Women’s group has launched a skillshare series called PowerUp lunches designed to help you level up your skills and confidence as a kick-ass business women. Why lunch? It’s hard to fit everything into a day and you need to re-fuel anyway. For Portland Startup Week, we’re hosting a public event, open to all humans interested in leveling up (or replenishing) life skills needed throughout the startup journey, whether you’re just beginning or beginning to burn out. Panelists include Christa King, Jordan Hayles and Monica Borrell who are all accomplished, bold, human and willing to share their skills!
Wednesday, February 8th – Lunch 2.0
CENTRL Pearl – 12pm to 1:30pm
Can we buy you lunch? What began as a way to show off office space to a few folks eventually grew to be a gathering that had hundreds of Portland people grabbing lunch and meeting one another. This year, Lunch 2.0 will be sponsored by CENTRL member StackPath and hosted at the Pearl Location.
Wednesday, February 8th – Cosube Happy Hour
Cosube – 111 NE MLK Jr. Blvd – 4pm to 7pm
End your day with happy hour at Cosube, our Eastside neighbor in the Slate building. Cosube will be offering free beer and wine from 4-7pm while you shop the heavily discounted (up to 50% off) apparel and winter products. Hope to see you there!
Thursday, February 9th – Creative Coffee Hour with Scopic
CENTRL Eastside – 9:30am to 11am
Creatives, tech folks, freelancers, and solopreneurs, join Scopic for a coffee break at CENTRL Eastside! Share stories, swap business cards, and celebrate successes over breakfast snacks, Delicious Donuts and beverages.
Friday, February 10th – Knoll Valentine’s Photo Booth Pop-Up
CENTRL Eastside – 3:30pm to 5pm
Knoll and Environments are hitting the streets for a series of Valentine’s Pop-Up events! They will have a vignette with a Knoll Womb Chair and lots of props for a photo shoot, sugar cookies to decorate, and their team will be there to show the love. Hope you can join us for a fun afternoon at CENTRL Eastside.
